Down by the lake

Dear Great Gran,

Down by the lake again recently when Sue and Neil were up.

Julie got down to Tara's level and they soon both became fascinated with exactly the same piece of excellent needlework by Sue.



Sam, on the other hand (paw?), is clearly enjoying lording it over Tara and appears to have grown almost up to Neil's shoulder height.



Ruthie went with us on a pre-election climate change rally: she insists on taking her bike whenever possible now! She is seen here with cycling buddy Pippa outside old parliament house.

Lakeside Cycling

Dear Great Gran,

Julie, Sean & I cycled yesterday with Ruth, Flynn and Sam in trailers from our homes to the lake where we met Sandra and Tara. Once we were there, Flynn and Ruth did some cycling of their own:
Ruth would like to tell you that we had chocolate cake for afternoon tea.

First day!

Dear Gran, here is our monkey, all grown up! It is her first day of preschool today. She is very excited. I love the way that some things are the same as when I was at kinder--- the kids all take a piece of fruit to cut up and share for playlunch. Ruth took a plum from our trees.

Above you can see the green grass from the recent rain. (The guinea pigs are cowering out of sight, as usual).
