Last night we went to the Lange Nacht der Wissenschaft (the long night of science). This is when all the scientific institutions in Berlin--- the universities, the musueums, the research laboratories--- open their doors from about 5pm to 1am and demonstrate stuff.
Our group has a stand with bubbles (demonstrating minimal surfaces) and my professor gave a public lecture. But the highlight of the night--- at least in the computers/mathematical sciences departments--- is always the robot soccer team, the 'FU Fighters'.

In food news, we have been getting delicious artichokes from the market. And looking forward to eating in Tuscany!
